fact or friction?

No that is NOT a typo in the title of this one, it is a post for my good friend poppaoomoumou whose unwavering love of Firefox and inflexibility to give any other freeware browsers a chance...

Rogue Remover

Rogue Remover from Malwarebytes.org

This lil spyware detection/removal tool continues to show promise, though I say that in it can be a great adjunct to other anti-spyware tools. Though like most ’freeware’, it is beginning to worry me that it will go shareware.
There already is a ’pro’ version of Rogue Remover which is shareware.
So we shall see what transpires with the continued development of the freeware version and ultimate future as to whether it stays truly freeware.

Post2Blog now freeware

Awhile back I was visiting a few freeware sites that link to Giveawayoftheday.com, and noticed their "give away of the day" was an app called Post2Blog that sounded rather interesting.
Now...the hitch to Giveawayoftheday.com is they 'give away' for "free" shareware apps, BUT you must utilize a sort of activation method, which I am still a bit fuzzy and thereby leery to use.
That having been said, maybe I am naive and don't get why 'freeware' sites link to a site such as this?
Ok, sure I know that linking = traffic. I am not attacking sites for working to build their traffic. Course one would assume that linking should imply associating with sites of similar content and/or clarifying what linked sites contain, or at the very least posting and easy to find disclaimer.

Long story short, Post2Blog is NOW FREEware, so give it a go, as in my preliminary testing am pleased in using it.

Merci

I would like to thank those who have somehow found my journal and sent along very kind and helpful feedback, wow!
And yes I am trying to figure out why the graphics images for the eSnips links seem to not render always.......

This is another illustration of a real freeware app that does as promised and isn't laden with extraciricular bloated excess. Another fine freeware app from Glarysoft worth giving a try is Process Manager (*It allows you to monitor programs that run on your PC and stop spyware and Trojans), though my personal choice for such is an outstanding and TRULY 100% FREEware app called DTaskManager, which I will post more about soon.

Maxthon Beta

The latest Maxthon 2 (beta) is available and for those adventerous types (meaning me), it is a rather more stable than usual for the betas I have tried in the past from the Maxthon team.

So use your own discretion as to trying this one, as it is a BETA:)

Latest Maxthon release

FileForum has the latest Maxthon Standard release.
Is it just me, or do the releases of both Avant and Maxthon seem to be at the same time?

Anyways, this release is more polished and allows the use of a growing number of plug ins, like the Blogex one I used to post this.

avant - ie - opera, or all of the above?

The latest release of the Avant browser (11.5 RC3 beta) which you can pick up a copy of at FileForum if you are so inclineed.
I mention this as it is a better release than many over the last say year or so (just my opinion mind you), and it is not only a little more sharp as far as 'looks' but it also is really getting more Opera-ish (which to me is a good thing in some ways)...ok, here's the link to the Opera (9.21 Build 8776 Final) listing at Fileform while I am at it.

And for those not so intrepid, this is a BETA, ok?
